LITTERED LT32

LT32 is one of the badly littered LTs that i have gone to! okay this is not an accurate reflection cos i only go to 3 LTS. not sure about the rest. hmm. engine LTS are also littered but maybe LT32 is alr dim and "old" and makes it feel worse? im not sure.

i just cant understd ppl who dun clear their trash after going for lessons!! okay i concede that sometimes, even i might forget to clear my rubbish, but as i see it most are not this case. i hope ppl rmbr and be more considerate. it is a learning environment, and we ought to be in a clean and comfortable environment to be able to enjoy our lectures and feel better in a not-so-pleasant schooling setting. its sad to see, almost every time i walk in LT32 and see such things.

running to ECP

thurday is the only day i go home and i can see light at tanah merah mrt station LOL. and thus, i decided to go for a run/jog.

i started running and thought of going to temasek jc, den i thought, hey why not go to ECP? haha. havent done that before, and its not that far away. it would be nice to see the sea breeze and chill a while there, i had to set a precedence somewhen!

so i decided to go with it. ECP is only about 20 mins run away! i took about 25 mins, but that was including the many irritating slow traffic lights hahaha.

and then i reached the coast and decided to take a stroll, smell the sea and relax a while before running back home. den on the way i met two dhs teachers! ms pear and ms ling. haha. my sec 2 and 3 english teachers.

(OMG ON A SIDENOTE, IT IS AMAZING HOW I CHANGED MY ENGLISH TEACHER EVER YEAR FROM SEC ONE TO JC2! hahaha i just realised that.)

funny sia, meeting them there. they said they went for a "walk". haha i guess they came from sch or something? not sure though. nice and refreshing to meet someone. keeps my mind occupied. i need thoughts to accompany me on my runs so i can keep going haha.

and then i ran back home. likes.

there was a reception in outside engine audi just now, saw this carrot cake! lol for me, it was my first time seeing carrot cake in such circumstances (catering). lol, i still miss the jurong camp canteen carrot cake, BEST ive eaten!!

admin specs!

met up with kevin and my understudy. haha. although my upperstudy is by right shem, kevin also considered my upperstudy la! admin specs rule! haha. had dinner at din tai fung and hung ard macs for a looooong time after that. as usual, its not the place, its the ppl that matters.

as usual, meeting up with army ppl, u cant escape from talking abt army stuffs! lol. but for me, i have no problems talking abt things in green, its always nice to hear news about certain ppl who used to be around you all the while just one to two years ago and yet u are not seeing them anymore now. haha.

it was a good short break away from reality as our mindsets, well at least mine, turned back into a soldier, reliving the good memories we had. esp the funny ones! LOL. nv fail to bring up jing dian stuff and topics that always tickle us.

so fast, and darel's gonna ORD in like two weeks?! haha. and it has been almost ONE WHOLE YEAR since i ORD. wow. thats fast!

wow have not been uploading my POTD for two days! haha all due to my own fault la, again this time lagggg in writing essay and have to, as normal, chiong on the last days before the deadline this morning 9am. haha. finally finished it yday mn 12 plus.

85-marks-graph

This is my MATLAB lab 6 graph that i spent so much time on! we are supposed to show certain points and trends of the F1 up to the sg leg and although there could be up to 3 graphs, i insisted on using one to show all four points. haha i thought it would be clearer cos its bigger? apparently, my TA doesnt think so and gave me 85 marks! when i asked him why i got these low marks, he said it was relative, the best graphs he saw were given the best scores. thus, he doesnt like my presentation. understandable la, squeezing all into one doesnt look that good eh? too bad. i spent so long doing that!

anw, have been getting many non-full marks score for lab assgn of late. quite sd, as many ppl are still getting near 100s. lol.

haiyah. sd la. but then, right from the start i was only hopin for a miracle, man u din look like they could score to me. i din have the confidence in them. the torres goal was great. no qn. i agreed with ref's decisions mostly, except maybe the tackle from carragher on fletcher. the rest, were okay. the carragher tackle on owen i agree it was not a red too.

man u is just cursed against liverpool! zz. esp vidic. omg. THREE REDS IN THREE CONSECUTIVE GAMES against liverpoo. thats a terrible record. boomz. =( drama was really at the end. vidic red card at least got some purpose. mascherano red card was received from trying to score a goal? lol. thats lousy.

if valencia's effort off the bar late in the game had gone in, wad would have been the result?

but once again, i concede that liverpool played v well, lucas would have gained a lot more points finally.

the players in my fav team JUST POSTED THIS NOON failed to impress at all! cept benayoun. giggs was average. vidic was just plain SWAY AND OUTPLAYED. evra subdued. johnson average. berbatov was on a bad day as well.

lol this is more of a post for yj. in case any reader dunno, raymond lam is a famous hong kong celebrity (and one of yj's fav) haha. my grandma and his grandma were good frens and this time when my grandma went to xiamen raymond lam's mother gave this autographed concert dvd to my grandma for my uncle haha and i took a look just now.

whr i live

The right of the two tallest apt blocks in the middle of the photo? there is whr i live. this photo was taken this afternoon with my TWO POINT ZERO MP hp camera haha that i have not been using much. and while i had a little five minutes wait for the train i looked around and realised, like once before, how i have not been paying attn to certain details, like how my place can be seen at ease from bedok mrt platform.

some things in life, u see day in and day out but u fail to notice them. esp the minute details. and how beautiful life can be, when u take a moment to appreciate certain under-appreciated parts of your life.

YJ'S NEW HAIRSTYLE

LOL yday at sch i planned a msn video session with yj, with ben by my side as well. lol. super funny cos she said that she PERMED HER HAIR. and i was so shocked and cant imagine how it will look, and since i meeting ben i tot we could see her face for once. lol.

surprisingly she looked quite good with the new hairdo lol. quite suit her face and overall feeling i guess. as i said, on 2D it looks quite goodm but i think will be a bit untidy if see it life hahaha who noes.

got other screen shots with her hair more clear, but i tot it is funny that SHE IS EATING IN FRONT OF THE WEBCAM. lol in front of me in another country. okay la, be nice for now, actually she wanted to end the video call alr and eat but i ask her not to so can take this screenshot LOL. show how greedy she is and thus she is the REAL cycheh.

Central Library

been in sch, central library, for the past four hours. =( back to sch on a free day to do EG1413 first draft, which is DUE TMR. haha. okay but luckily its still within reach and hopefully by tonight we have a draft that is not too bad to hand in. but definitely requries somemore fine tuning like everywhr. haha. jialat la. this module is driving me crazy. every week doing eg is like a torture. i really wonder why i have to suffer so much psycholgical pain sia. its like lame. why do i dislike it and not love it?

but too bad, me is me. and eg is faculty requirement. i just hope to settle it, be convinced, and get a decent grade that means like something like B will be good alr. and then there is this critique to write in TWO hours for the finals. and it is so long since we touched critque sia. =((

actually its not too bad a feeling to be in the central library, quiet and comfy. good for doing work when i can still concentrate. for now, im getting a little tired and eyes getting dry. im supposed to go alr, since my group mate alr left for his hall thingie, but man, its 1800 and the jam's probably qt bad. not that it will be better later on, just tt the human jam should have dispersed mostly? i hope.

yday i gotten back my MATLAB paper, hmm. im satisfied with my result, its near the range i expected after taking it. but i have to say that the lecturer was very very lenient in his marking. thus even though he set such a tricky and long test, i still think he's not that bad. and he add 5 marks to everyone's score to make the poorer students feel better. of cos there were questions which i dunno how i can get it wrong, but i deserved to get those wrong anw.

heard news from some frens that they din do well for matlab mid terms, and i dunno how to comfort them also. im not in the correct position to do so cos i scored relatively well. hmmm. but its hard to do well for computing subject, if u really not v interested or like dun understd certain concepts. for me, i personally like matlab, i find it increasingly fun. but for ppl who feel they are weak in matlab, i think the trick is really to try and try and play ard with the commands? and dun feel too bad if u din do well, cos one cant be good in everything. just use time to dilute it eventually. and stop thinking abt it..

easier said than done, i know it persoanlly very very well.

haha i just met my friend edmund in the library. random again. went to catch up for a bit.

and, yday (not ydyda, its yday for yes-ter-day) i see again, some ppl who, i feel, need to practise a little bit for humility. it is necessary to think about the rest and be sensitive to other ppl's feelings, even if u dun care how ppl look at you. it is not very nice to let ppl feel ur arrogance and also let ppl feel worse after something bad? hmm. i would think that most ppl will know how to handle situations like this. its like when u get a high score for some test, then u are not really in the position to complain and say that u shld have gotten better, unless the person u are speaking to are abt the same level as u or better. if not, it will cause futher pain in that person who did poorer than u. not a good feeling to have.

gotta be more sensitive.

Hwa Chong Bottle

this is my hwa chong bottle, my buddy for about two years in the army! haha this is the best orientation gift ever, got it from my 01 in 2005. i used it for a while in jc too, but change afterwards. den when i went to i think sispec, i started to bring this bottle for my own use in bunk and it accompanied me for the cold lonely nights i had in sispec. haha. seriously. at night, i would fill it up with warm water from the water cooler and while its cold, it will gimme some warmth and comfort, wat i call 华中的温暖. sometimes when im sian-ed and lack motivation, i do look to hwa chong as an inspiration. really. esp during BMT, my memories as a hwa chong councillor accompanied me for many nights, and runs.

anw, abt my bottle, later on i continued using it throughout army, even when the strap at the bottle cap is broken, i BLACK TAPED it and continued using. but now i can no longer use it cos it smells bad =( perhaps i din clean it properly when in camp or something. gotta throw it away soon.

Imperfections

Imperfections (in solids) was a topic for my MLE mid terms last week. Isn't Imperfections (of humans) a topic of LIFE as well?

Finally started on elearning.

lol. i finally started some elearning yday night. luckily it is still okay. for the two subjects i gone through.

maths was difficult to understd and they din even record webcast o.O, expect us to study on our own using notes. hmm. not very efficient there, and i din really understd wth it was all about. but after trying hard and doing the tutorial it felt better. i need the lecturer to show examples and explain to have a better understanding and impression la!

matlab was much clearer, and after reading the notes i could understd alr. nonetheless i watched the webcast too. the lecturer was kind enough to shorten the lecture to like 45 plus 30 minutes for a three hour slot. great. he din needa explain too much either. being more interested in matlab than my urgent genes and soc brochure assignment, i completed my lab07 just now first. haha. this is really short compared to the previous ones omg. wat a difference a change of lecturer made to our lab assignment! this is the easiest and fastest lab ive done this whole sem. lol.

still have mle and gek elearning to go through, but i guess i still have to complete my assignment for gek first. sucks. lost another FREE MARK by missing the third survey. cant believe it la! i read the mail but i din scroll down, i flagged it as i thought it only contained instructions to elearning. nv did i realise there are instructions below in the mail to inform us of the date and by the time i realised that the survey is closed, i din even know it existed? =( jialat la. needlessly lose two points. and my assignment 2 was done qt badly as well. hohoho. i wonder how i can survive. plus the fact that i have not been paying attn in lectures and not done a single revision, perhaps after the two remaining assignments i gotta chiong revision. supposed to be a free A module??? hmmm. kinda screwed it up so far.

mid terms over, time seems to be running out soon!

waha now that midterms are over alr, seems like time is going to run out pretty soon!!
just a short update, gotta get back to matlab assignment in while.

friday went to send a few frens off to imperial, and although i had expected a crowd, i didnt expect such a scene! omg it was literally FLOODED. my fav quote: THE WHOLE WORLD IS GOING TO IMPERIAL! haha and alongside those flying off, seen some ppl surprisingly as they send off their frens as well.

saturday was the mle test and although i din really check the answers, it was still okay. and since we din have the past year papers as a guide to wat to expect, it was harder to study and prepare. hahah. and the first few questions of the test were v easy compared to wad most ppl expected i guess.

and at this point, i would love to get back the papers and the score, but the lecturers alr said that the questions will not be released back to us except maths. and i doubt i can experience the thrill of getting the paper back and meng check answer like the old days hahha.

and it was Mid Autumn on saturday. due to the exams (partially) and perhaps just ageing, MAF seems like just another day in the calendar. no more playing with candles, sparkles, lanterns. just a slice of mooncake. haha

another thing, man u drew =( the first half performance was really screwed up and CMI. worse i had ever seen!! very very lucky to get a point from this game. if not for foster's "mistake" i belive man u could have won. berbatov's bicycle kick was absolutely fantastic and i really appreciate berbatov's skill balance and vision very much. although sometimes he might be too clever for the team's good, he is indeed pleasant to watch. the cool factor haha.

elearning week, and i forsee more time spent on my assignments and having to chiong webcast soon. zzzzz =X

emo from the heart can cause so much harm. only after months can it be fading. it may take years. and relapses can happen, ignited by special scenes or thoughts.

emo from a fictional incident can cause only so much hurt. after minutes or hours, its gone.
