DHS CNY

backtracking to 28 Jan, i returned to DHS after Ying jie asked me. it was the CNY celebrations on a weird day i thought, as most schools/organisations would have had it on friday. anws, the program seemed much better than it was during my time. perhaps it was because im no longer a student there and i no longer need to sit down there cross-legged, and looking at the school event as an "outsider" more or less anabled it to be more enjoyable. definitely, the emcees were different from our time. we used to have serious ppl on stage using perfect english and mandarin, in a rather serious tone. now, they tell lame jokes and laugh among themselves. it was much more entertaining than it was five years ago though. leads me to feel that the school has sort of transformed to a more hip and fun institution. or maybe its just the generation.

after the performances, we went around looking for teachers. we were looking for 安老师 and finally found her in the staff room. lol, she is diff from how she was in the classroom, being friendlier to us, the old boys and girls. and incredibly after a few minutes and looks she figured out i had a 启in my name! i was quite stunned she rmbr-ed. somehow. haha. i wasnt very prominent, nor good in my chinese (i scored 2/10 once for 听写 and frequently failed tests) but still was not the worst of the lot, nor the best. later on i realised its either one, i was the monitor, or two,
启is too rare to find really.

and after seeing her, mrs tan, mdm loh, mrs phua, ms wong we took a tour around the new school campus, which i alr had a visit @ homecoming on 2nd Jan.

Being back at DHS is a totally different feeling from being back at HCI. I feel more calm and peaceful at DHS. i recall the times when I was still an immature young kid roaming the school and trying to grow up. i like the feeling of the familiar classrooms and foyer and recalling how funny events and ppl were a part of our lives then.
