Hwa Chong Bottle

this is my hwa chong bottle, my buddy for about two years in the army! haha this is the best orientation gift ever, got it from my 01 in 2005. i used it for a while in jc too, but change afterwards. den when i went to i think sispec, i started to bring this bottle for my own use in bunk and it accompanied me for the cold lonely nights i had in sispec. haha. seriously. at night, i would fill it up with warm water from the water cooler and while its cold, it will gimme some warmth and comfort, wat i call 华中的温暖. sometimes when im sian-ed and lack motivation, i do look to hwa chong as an inspiration. really. esp during BMT, my memories as a hwa chong councillor accompanied me for many nights, and runs.

anw, abt my bottle, later on i continued using it throughout army, even when the strap at the bottle cap is broken, i BLACK TAPED it and continued using. but now i can no longer use it cos it smells bad =( perhaps i din clean it properly when in camp or something. gotta throw it away soon.

Was at liwen's birthday party just now and decided to post this as my (late) POTD though the quality not very the good. haha. it was nice to see some long-time-no-see faces esp CJ, who seemed to have "disappeared" after jc. =]

Imperfections

Imperfections (in solids) was a topic for my MLE mid terms last week. Isn't Imperfections (of humans) a topic of LIFE as well?

Finally started on elearning.

lol. i finally started some elearning yday night. luckily it is still okay. for the two subjects i gone through.

maths was difficult to understd and they din even record webcast o.O, expect us to study on our own using notes. hmm. not very efficient there, and i din really understd wth it was all about. but after trying hard and doing the tutorial it felt better. i need the lecturer to show examples and explain to have a better understanding and impression la!

matlab was much clearer, and after reading the notes i could understd alr. nonetheless i watched the webcast too. the lecturer was kind enough to shorten the lecture to like 45 plus 30 minutes for a three hour slot. great. he din needa explain too much either. being more interested in matlab than my urgent genes and soc brochure assignment, i completed my lab07 just now first. haha. this is really short compared to the previous ones omg. wat a difference a change of lecturer made to our lab assignment! this is the easiest and fastest lab ive done this whole sem. lol.

still have mle and gek elearning to go through, but i guess i still have to complete my assignment for gek first. sucks. lost another FREE MARK by missing the third survey. cant believe it la! i read the mail but i din scroll down, i flagged it as i thought it only contained instructions to elearning. nv did i realise there are instructions below in the mail to inform us of the date and by the time i realised that the survey is closed, i din even know it existed? =( jialat la. needlessly lose two points. and my assignment 2 was done qt badly as well. hohoho. i wonder how i can survive. plus the fact that i have not been paying attn in lectures and not done a single revision, perhaps after the two remaining assignments i gotta chiong revision. supposed to be a free A module??? hmmm. kinda screwed it up so far.

had a birthday dinner early celebration for ben just now. haha sd his bday always in this kinda exams/mugging periods so as he needs to mug himself, and we all have diff commitments, we came tgt earlier to celebrate for him. haha. thanks ben!

mid terms over, time seems to be running out soon!

waha now that midterms are over alr, seems like time is going to run out pretty soon!!
just a short update, gotta get back to matlab assignment in while.

friday went to send a few frens off to imperial, and although i had expected a crowd, i didnt expect such a scene! omg it was literally FLOODED. my fav quote: THE WHOLE WORLD IS GOING TO IMPERIAL! haha and alongside those flying off, seen some ppl surprisingly as they send off their frens as well.

saturday was the mle test and although i din really check the answers, it was still okay. and since we din have the past year papers as a guide to wat to expect, it was harder to study and prepare. hahah. and the first few questions of the test were v easy compared to wad most ppl expected i guess.

and at this point, i would love to get back the papers and the score, but the lecturers alr said that the questions will not be released back to us except maths. and i doubt i can experience the thrill of getting the paper back and meng check answer like the old days hahha.

and it was Mid Autumn on saturday. due to the exams (partially) and perhaps just ageing, MAF seems like just another day in the calendar. no more playing with candles, sparkles, lanterns. just a slice of mooncake. haha

another thing, man u drew =( the first half performance was really screwed up and CMI. worse i had ever seen!! very very lucky to get a point from this game. if not for foster's "mistake" i belive man u could have won. berbatov's bicycle kick was absolutely fantastic and i really appreciate berbatov's skill balance and vision very much. although sometimes he might be too clever for the team's good, he is indeed pleasant to watch. the cool factor haha.

elearning week, and i forsee more time spent on my assignments and having to chiong webcast soon. zzzzz =X

emo from the heart can cause so much harm. only after months can it be fading. it may take years. and relapses can happen, ignited by special scenes or thoughts.

emo from a fictional incident can cause only so much hurt. after minutes or hours, its gone.

different emo, different duration to heal.

just had some lessons and having a one hour break now. ohmans. last night i really was going to BK alr la!! hope the matter gets resolved. and now gotta study for last mid term test, MLE1101 on saturday. okay i guess thats all for now. lol.

Whenever i dun understand or cant visualise the FCC and HCP crystal structures, i take out my chinese checkers game set and play with the marbles haha.

HUMILITY

hmm. i guess its rather important for one to able to understand, and demonstrate humility.

it is not very nice to give ppl replies, though honest, but might be sensed as insensitive or arrogant in a worst-case-scenario.


(but nonetheless i need to rant here AHHHHH)
WAAAA I CHECKED THE ANSWERS FOR MY MATHS, AND I GOT NINE!! WA AND ONE QUESTION WRONG, IS THE GRAPH QUESTION. OMG. ALTHOUGH IM VERY HAPPY WITH 90% SCORE, BUT I FEEL SO WASTED. COS I TOT OF THAT CORRECT ANSWER, BUT IN THE END I CHOSE THE OTHER WRONG OPTION! OH MANZ. HUMS. WASTED SIA IF I HAD SORTED OUT MY THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE GOT 100%! HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE. NONETHELESS IM =DD AND EAGERLY AWAITING MATLAB ANSWERS HOHOHO.
