ONEEEE MORE!! OMG.
lol, today was my MLE1101 exams, and it din go too smoothly, AGAIN. =((
i had done qt a lot of preperation on this in terms of intensive studying. its qt painful to do so for my body but due to being a bit too relax in the earlier days i needed to chiong a bit more. this led to the failure of my original plan to study, revise, reread and do some practice. there wasnt time to practise in the end which could be the reason why my brain couldnt function exactly well nor fast enough today!
even though the time spent on preperationwas qt a lot, i din really understand them well and this, is whr i believe, i fell. cos i need to understd and big picture and logic behind all these equations and stuff to be able to manipulate them effectively. apparently i couldnt!
the prof fanging hen hua that the exam standard would be similar to the mid-terms caused me to believe that it wouldnt be too hard. indeed there are some v simple questions, but it was harder than mid terms la. i started getting stuck from the third question and fourth, during which i spammed about 30-40 minutes for each question, and still getting no whr near a correct answer! goshhh dunno how to do at all! srsly my brain wasnt turning fast enough! and my concept of the topic isnt v good. magnetism and electrical stuffs have always been one part which i find in a little tough to understd mostly in my years taking physics.
i was v disheartened by the few questions that i couldnt do. such that i stayed on and meng think, but couldnt work anything out for some parts. hahaha. sian la i need to remember TO MOVE ON! jianchi is not the best option in a uni exam now =X
thus in the end, i felt qt sian after the exams again. i dunno why sia, i think is my 得失心 too heavy again? cos the results for MLE for mid terms were qt good overall and the finals we hafta expect a good raw score the only means to get a good grade isnt it? lol. but too bad i din perform as well as i would like to have done.
BUT again i have to say that it all depend on everyone else now! haha the power of the bell curve, which i will experience on the fateful day two days before my birthday HAHHAA.

HC BIO MCQhahahaha this is a piece of rough paper i was using some time ago and i turned to see this HC bio qn! that day i just finished my genes and soc exam so i was very eager to try this qn, but i dunno how to do? ANYONE? help? hahahah super funny. dunno how to do la!

MOUSEHUNT SET-UPLOL! this has been my set-up for mousehunt these few days during the preparation of exams!! hahaha every 15 mins, timer set, meng SOUND HORN! woo hoo! life of 15 minutes indeed. that day had a random thought that ppl playing mousehunt could be so used to it that they are starting to have an inbuilt accurate biological clock in their body, which could be useful! for example, maths exam one question should spend about 15 mins! hahaha that would provide a natural gauge of time yeah? lol.

the death of yet another bottlehais, that day after MA1505 exams on 25 nov, i came back and realised that, another bottle of mine has died-ed. this was a good bottle, one small and enough for a day in NUS. was from singapore combat engineers aniversary! only started using it for NUS after my previous bottles from Hwa Chong (MY FAVVVOURITEEEE) and BMTC all died-ed.
this time this orange bottle died from a crack in the cap which i unfortunately forgot to capture. nvm, it shall die a pretty bottle LOL. its like when i capping it back on den i can feel that it was a bit too tight and the crack started to propagate (oh myyy reminds me of MLE)...

EXPLOSIVE!!yes upgraded my trap base some days ago and also using swiss now, not too bad! although there are still spells of bad luck/form sometimes but overall not too bad. plus now exam period so can stay at home and meng HORN! weee!

TWO MORE!
man. today was MA1505 finals.
it was a good timing, 1pm. need not wake up too early, and some time to do a bit of revision b4 the exams. but not too late that it slows down your thinking as well! (which kinda happened to my genes and soc paper luckily its mcq, and hoping it will not happen for my MATLAB exams).
in fact, this is one of the most well prepared maths exam/test that i went for in my life! usually i would be qt relax for maths papers, study the concepts right, MAYBE practise a few qn. den relax and keep my mind fresh for the paper. but somehow the stress of uni life sets in and im qt anxious abt maths la. rare anxiety. in the end i practised about two past yr papers which to most ppl would be a small number, but to me its qt all right/ a lot alr. lol.
doing the questions today wasnt easy. hmm. i think i took a little long to get it going and warmed up cos the first questions i did them rather slowly, which shouldnt be the case since they were v easy/simple compared to those at the back. however, i realised after the exams from my fren that i did one quesiton on inflexion pt wrongly!! OMG sian. i know the concept, but somehow then i din notice wad i shld do and did the wrong thing, when it is the standard of sec/jc only. zzz. too bad.
then moving on, the other questions werent easy as well and some, as expected, required tedious calculations! although i got most answers, i was not confident of some, and there are boung to be careless mistakes here and there.
before halfway through i was alr lagging behind. and in the end, i had 15 to 20 minutes to do three parts, which werent exactly possible. 7b, i stared and looked and thought and den decided to give it up after a while cos my brain wasnt processing it. i moved on to 8a which i completed but there were only about 5 mins left for the last question. and i din manage to do much of it as well.
thus in the end, i left the hall with ~9-10 marks undone and one wrong answer? thats without calculating the careless mistakes/ other wrong parts. hmm was a little bit sian-ed and dunno wad to think. wasnt really that sad cos getting some of the answers alr lifted my spirits a little. but couldnt really bring myself to be happy as i wasnt confident wad sort of a grade i would get for this. apparently i dun hear too many complains abt the time hahhaa maybe its just me that is slow.
anw, just to reflect there were many times when i stared at the question, and i dunno wad they asking? i knew how to do certain calculations, but perhaps i wasnt too used to them/ din practise enough to be fast in understanding the qn. in a test where we are racing against time, this is definitely a point worth taking note. hai.
i really dunno what to expect. maybe scoring well for mid terms is not too good a thing overall. cos of the mid terms, it gave me higher expectations, that have drifted away from me this afternoon. haha. for now i really dunno wad grade to expect. seriously. i can only hope that my slight advantage in mid terms can count for something, and that i have minimal careless mistakes in my calculations bah!
two more to go! i better get back on track and not be misled by the break i have ahead of me lol.

THREE MORE!
ONE MORE DOWN!
had my GEK 1527 finals at 5pm today. best finals format of 60 MCQs! okay but i wasnt easy. not as smooth as i had predicted it would be! there were many many many ambiguous qns, and many of them involved poor expression of language in the question, which makes it the more frustrating!! its not that i dunno how to do, its the question that is unclear!
and there were many tricks around, two of which i spotted and was happy to see them =D but after that i realised i had misunderstd some questions and had some wrong interpretations/ missed out some info in the question that was vital to getting the correct ans. sian! MALE MAMMAL. i din even see the word MALE at all. zzz.
and of cos the baodian questions were whr we ask ourselves WHO IS IAN WILMUT and WHO WON THE NOBEL PRIZE. gosh! i did expect prof to give some questions like who invented/discovered wad la. and i took some time to roughly rmbr some. but it turns out he asked which of the following won nobel prize! haha this was certainly not wat a student would consider impt info to rmbr.
overall, i thought it was pretty tough to score. cos its not THAT difficult, but having to figure out what the lecturer wants by deciphering his own code is not easy!! and i made some mistakes here and there and there will bound to have more, esp when i had 10+ question of which i wasnt sure. damn er xin to have a feeling of "not i dunno how to answer but i dunno wth he is asking".
HOPE for all the best lor? lol. the two points lost from missing survey will be yet a crucial blow again if i dun do well for this module. hah.
